Walmart Launches Bettergoods: A New Brand Catering to Diverse Culinary Experiences
Walmart, the United States’ largest retailer, continues to innovate with the introduction of Bettergoods, a new brand focused on enhancing the culinary experiences of its customers. This marks Walmart’s most significant private-label food launch in two decades and represents its fastest rollout of a private food brand to date.
Bettergoods isn’t just another private label; it represents a commitment to providing unique culinary flavors at the exceptional value customers expect from Walmart. “Today’s consumers demand more from the private brands they purchase—they seek affordable, quality products that elevate their overall dining experience. The introduction of Bettergoods significantly fulfills this customer need,” stated Scott Morris, Walmart’s Senior Vice President of Private Brands, Food, and Consumables.
A Range of Affordable Products
According to details released by the company, Bettergoods products range from under $2 to less than $15, with the majority available for under $5. The brand spans approximately 300 items across various departments including frozen goods, dairy, snacks and beverages, as well as pasta, soups, coffee, chocolate, and more.
Bettergoods items are categorized into three main groups:
Culinary Experiences
These items feature innovative recipes, premium ingredients, and trendy food offerings, including special salts and seasonings, according to Walmart.
Plant-Based Products
Distinctive eco-brands and robust flavors designed for enjoyment define this category. Bettergoods’ plant-based products offer an exceptional dining experience, the company notes.
“Made Without” Products
This category includes a broad selection of items tailored to various dietary lifestyles, such as gluten-free or made without artificial flavors, colors, or added sugars.
